Every year offers special event highlights that are well worth a visit. We at PGSA are well informed about what is happening where and when. 2026 - Zurich

  • 09 May – 12 September: Travel to Bellinzona on the Treno Gottardo Take a day trip from Zurich to Ticino. The outward journey takes you over the Gotthard mountain route in the modern Treno Gottardo. After arriving in Bellinzona, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Castelgrande. The return journey in a legendary historic Gotthard locomotive is an absolute highlight. Travel like in the old days in historic passenger cars and enjoy the nostalgic journey along the Gotthard panoramic route.

2026 - Basel

  • 19 June - 21 June: Art Basel The international art fair for 20th and 21st century art, is considered the most important art fair worldwide and a significant event for artists, dealers and collectors.
  • 26 June - 28 June: Federal Yodelling Festival It will be held for the first time since 1924 in the cultural city of Basel with countless performances in the yodelling, alphorn blowing and flag-waving categories.
  • 17 July - 25 July: Basel Tattoo The second largest event of its kind after the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, showcases the best and most spectacular music and show groups from around the world.

2026 - Berne

  • 13 June – 24 July: Barry – the legendary St. Bernard dog Barry, the world's most famous rescue dog, died 200 years ago. He remains a legend to this day. Barry can be admired at the Natural History Museum in Berne in a new exhibition which showcases the heroic deeds of the St. Bernard dog from the Great St. Bernard Pass. But which stories are true and which are myths? The exhibition reveals the whole truth. A wonderful experience for the whole family.

2026 - Montreux

  • 03 July – 18 July: Montreux Jazz Festival Every summer, this truly exceptional event brings together the greats of the jazz, pop and rock music scene and has hosted iconic performances by artists including Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. In Montreux, the artists are up close and personal with their fans and the fantastic setting of the festival on the shores of Lake Geneva contribute for unforgettable memories.

2026 - St. Moritz

  • 02 July – 26 July: Festival da Jazz St. Moritz Discover top-class jazz in the impressive backdrop of the Alps. Enjoy performances by world-famous jazz greats as well as up-and-coming talents in the unique and cozy atmosphere of St. Moritz's exclusive venues. A must for every jazz lover and perfect for everyone who appreciates a combination of great music and breathtaking nature.

2026 - Gstaad

  • 16 July – 05 September: Menuhin Festival Gstaad Founded in 1957 the festival is based on the musical and humanistic legacy of its founder Yehudi Menuhin. His idea of music as a unifying force shapes the program to this day. Over 60 concerts take place in the region's historic churches as well as in the iconic festival tent in Gstaad. Combine this cultural event with a vacation in the Alps and experience an in-depth approach to classical music and a dreamlike landscape with exceptional recreational value.

2026 - Lucerne

  • 13 August – 13 September: Classic Music Festival Lucerne This event is one of the most renowned international music festivals in the field of classical music, featuring famous orchestras, legendary conductors and virtuoso soloists from all over the world. In addition to this high-profile event, Lucerne offers outstanding music events of various genres throughout the year.
