In all three German countries there is a wealth of culture. In Germany alone there are over 300 theaters, 130 orchestras and 630 enormous art museums. Several hundred years of history in art, literature, and music, beginning in the 16th century. All three countries are home of iconic world know composers like Mozart, Bach or Beethoven, writers like Goethe, Schiller or Lessing and painters like Dürer, Caspar David Friedrich or Beckmann which travelled the countries themselves to be inspired.

In many places, you will find art that catches the eye, such as yarn-bombed lampposts, bins with monster eyes or placards that employ techniques such as irony or alienation.

Berlin is a magnet for international street artists. This is partly due to the history of the once divided city. Not only Thierry Noir has made the former "Anti-Fascist Wall" in the western part of Berlin a little more colorful, but many other artists also took the opportunity. Some of the pictures you can still admire today at the East Side Gallery, for example, the socialist Fraternal Kiss, which became one of the best-known pieces of Berlin wall graffiti art.
